I thought Christ taught modesty?

Practicing some architecture today.  Nothing more tedious to draw that Cathedrals. Some painting from reference as well.

In Season

October 10, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I want to spend this month doing a lot of autumn and spooky themed art pieces. October and November are my favorite time of year, I love everything about them. I have so much going on that I want to do, but not enough time to play around with a pencil and get it out!

Here’s a Corpse Bride piece I have in the works. I just started on Emily’s veil, trying to get the piece to feel haunting.

Dreamcast Tribute

October 9, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Although I had wanted to finish this piece by the 10th anniversary of the Dreamcast, I waited and spent a bit more time on it. I know it’s very colorful, but I wanted to fit the style of one of my absolute favorite Dreamcast games, Jet Set Radio. Everything about the system said fun to me and I wanted to show that in this piece. It was my first time designing any sort of graffiti.

Happy 9.9.09 everyone.

New pieces come forth

October 8, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Hoping to have some downtime after PAX and AWA to get to work on a few pieces I’ve had in mind. Here are a few I’ve been  working on. One in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Dreamcast.

No Illustrations Today

sketchbook269 sketchbook268

A new post to my seldom used sketchblog. Just some sketches of a city and new outfits for Chiko. Something else for her to wear so she’s not always in her leather jacket and leggings combo. I tend to post updates over at Conceptart.org more often. Anyways I finally embedded this thing into my main website, so expect updates on what I’m working on much more frequently.  Ciao~

An Inch forward

October 14, 2008 · 2 Comments

I had been quite preoccupied the last month or so keeping up with the daily necessities as well as preparing my art for a few shows. Now I am a bit more free and will be working fervently on Pinion. I’m feverishly preparing concept art and level design before the ideas are gone from my head. I’ll try to keep updates on this blog to at least twice a week for anyone interested in progress. Right now I’m negotiating with some folks to help out with music and programming (my two weakest links). My modeler and I are also working together to get Kazte up and modeled and rigged. Right now here’s a quick artwork I did of Katze in a thoughtful pose. This kind of art will go up next to text bubbles when the characters are speaking. I’m actually quite proud.

I’ll be doing some more, but I won’t be posting them anywere until game time. Over and out.

Canadian at Work

Today is the day.

Today I am starting this blog to keep track of Pinion progress. Pinion is a 3D platformer I have begun development on and hope to release on PSN and Steam one day. As of now it’s still in it’s very early concept art stages and I want to have a solid art design before I continue further. Also going to post story and character information, as well as original artwork. You can subscribe to RSS feed to keep track of updates and news. Thanks for looking! Katze and Cisco have found their way onto the web, and they are here to stay.
